Art show
The art show that I went to was the one in our own campest in our art gallery. The art piece that I choose for this is a simple piece it is a simple black and white line painting of a water buffalo. It by the artist Tom Knechtel name “Water Buffalo”. The medium is black ink on white paper. The size of the piece is 16 inches by 25 inches. To be accurate it more likes a ink line drawing of a cow. Some of the line that makes up the cow are not connecting. It a very simple line drawing there is no light or shadow in it. If light and shadow were added then the effect of this piece . The reason I choose this piece is that the thick strong black line used to create the cow strongly contrast with the bright white of the back ground that created it. The painting is well balance. The water buffalo is centre in the middle of the paining that is set up in a landscape form. One reason I was drawn to it is that it sort of remind me of the Chinese or Japanese ink paintings. I believe that the artist used a calligraphy pen to create this piece.
